Gözde Eren Mining Headquarters

We designed Gözde Eren Mining’s 145 m² executive office, located on the 22nd floor of a tower in Istanbul, with an approach that takes the panoramic sea and city views as the starting point of the design while reflecting the user’s working style and personal world. We positioned the executive office at the point with the most commanding views and extended the 30° and 60° spatial geometry—originating from the executive desk and referencing the building’s façade geometry—throughout the office. The reception, meeting room, executive assistant’s office, advisor’s office, and kitchenette were organized around this geometric framework. By combining Uslu Architects’ characteristic curved lines with angular forms, we created a cohesive and fluid design language throughout the space. Curved transparent glass partitions separate the working areas while allowing natural light and views to reach deep into the office. Balancing openness and privacy, we maintained visual continuity between spaces while providing the necessary level of discretion for the working areas. Custom-designed furniture is paired with sculptural orange ceiling elements, glossy green lacquer surfaces, light oak, marble, and genuine leather, creating a refined and distinctive atmosphere that reflects the user’s energetic character. Lighting, curtains, and ventilation are integrated into a smart automation system, allowing technology to become part of the design without disrupting the visual integrity of the interior. Moving beyond a conventional corporate office approach, we shaped the design not only around functional requirements but also around the user’s daily routine and personal interests. Books, magazines, artworks, and collected objects are integrated into the custom joinery, transforming them from decorative additions into architectural elements that contribute to the identity of the space. The result is a contemporary and highly personalized executive office for Gözde Eren Mining, where views, geometry, functionality, and personal details come together to create a workplace that reflects the character of its user.
